Musically this is a completely improvised piece, Blooby on guitar an myself on dulcimer. I had the lyrics but improvised the melody.

Looking through sad eyes
amazed at how time flies
slips away so quickly
leaves me empty and reserved
if I could slip in and out
a chameleon that never doubts
instead of this that I've become
how did I grow so numb

Forgetting fast what it means
how could I have slipped
between the lines that always define
Some sort of moral code
but gray is the only color I see
and everything is too slippery to hold

Fickle is the only way
to accurately describe
but the words I choose aren't accurate
and seldom are they kind
Blunt, direct and to the point
Matter of fact I like to say
If your suit of skin is weak
Then hurtful they might be

Loved it - the intricate guitar and dulcimer and tempo changes give it a real Eastern quality that I totally dig.

MET on!

Musically this is really very Indian in nature, the rich strumming and the dulcimer sounds like a sitar. Lots of eastern scales as well - love it. A very fruitful few days - well done guys. I am extremely jealous :-)
