here's a brand new one. Written in a state of mind where I do not get to go very often, fortunately, but that's kind of why I like this one. At least it's different. Kind of Dylanesque putdown almost, hah.
The chorus melody is very loosely based on an old, I believe Russian, folk tune that my grandmother used to whistle or hum a lot.  If someone recognizes the tune please give me a shout. Thanks!

I keep hearing my song's too long
and  how there are no happy tones
and the drums are too weak, or they're too strong
and how it's just not that good to party on

Well, there's two who could play that game
but what I do kicks your crap to shame
I can't remember a single note from you
So what in the hell am I supposed to do?

Should I be sorry for your lame manners
and your posture fault
Should I be all sorry for my rhapsodies
Should I not make this song too long
or should I never again use words
that do not appear in your childlike vocabulary

I see you walk the street
with some left behind hippie creeps
who sure can play a million notes
but no one remembers a single proper song

Should I be all sorry for your tame
voice and for the cover songs you play
Should I be all sorry for my apathy
Should I not make this song too long
or should I just never again use words
that do not appear in your childlike vocabulary

Go train your progressive crap
Nothing good ever comes out of that
Oh man, now you don't look so well
Maybe it's time to see the truth I try to tell

You say you'll never sell out to radio
and never would appear on a tv-show
Well I got news for you, hear it clear and loud
Your shit songs will see to all that anyhow

You say you'll never sell out to radio
and never would appear on a tv-show
Well I got news for you, it is clear and loud
Your shit songs will see to all that anyhow

There used to be a broadcaster here - dead now - who's catchphrase was "Do they mean me? They surely do".  That phrase kept popping into my head listening to the lyrics in your song.

Brought a smile to my face, anyway.
