I had a blast last night.  It was great to meet and jam with these guys whom I'd only known through comments and postings.  It gives one a very different perspective.  I am better for having participated in this event.  A big thanks to Hook, Bruno, and Blooby.  I only wish that we'd had more time.  But such is life.  We must move on and seek out the next opportunity.

Here are the lyrics.  I'd never thought of a title.  I guess the working title will suffice.  Suggestions would be welcome.

It's been so long
Since I've tried to stay with anyone
I've dipped my toe
But been afraid to take the plunge
It's not that I
Didn't find inviting waters
But I lacked the faith
That I could keep myself afloat

In you I see
A vast uncharted ocean
With waters both deep
And complex in their motion
I could be swept away
Never to see these shores again

I'm drawn to you
So strongly I feel frightened
Your siren call
Distracts my mind
Should I succumb
And risk the rocks before me
Should I turn away
And lose you for all time

In you I see
A vast uncharted ocean
With waters both deep
And complex in their motion
I could be swept away
Never to see these shores again

When I see you
I can't tell where the sky begins
When I'm walking with you
I have an unsteady stride
When you speak my name
I am swimming in emotion
When I touch you
I'm awash in your tide

In you I see
A vast uncharted ocean
With waters both deep
And stirred by complex motion
I could be swept away
Never to see these shores again

How could that be
So bad

What keeps me anchored
To this land

Perhaps it's time
To cast away

The lot jam was the most memorable musical part of the day for me. So glad something survived. I tried to clean up some of the ambient noise in the recording.

Thank you again, Hook, Bruno, and Lurker.

Fantastic lyrics Lurk-man, thats a song.  Seeing as you are asking.........my suggestion for a title would be "Cast Away".  Lets see what others say.  Beautiful songwriting, great stuff.

I like that. "Cast Away" fits very well. It fits the theme of the lyrics and is the last two words of the song.  Thanks, Bluesberry, for the suggestion.

I'm not good at choosing a title. I have a large cache of poems called "Untitled".
