Sounds good to me. I've been a strat guy for... oh 25 years or so.... and I never, ever, hardly ever use the bridge pup. Apparently, lots of people don't use that middle pup much, but I live there. Maybe it's my strat, but bridge and neck is where it's at.  All that being said, if I had a humbucker back there... well, then, it might have enough meat to do the trick. I've been staring at ssh strats for years but have never pulled the trigger.

I'm a middle pick-up along with positions 2 & 4 guy. Don't go to the pure neck or bridge too often.
