I've been playing with my piano-apps again ::) This time the fantastic CMP grand piano from Crudebyte (a Bechstein A190). The playing does in no way match the quality of the piano-sound so I added some horns from iSymphonic orchestra (also Crudebyte). But I needed some great vocals to cover up my mistakes :) so I sent it to James ....

And he delivered !!!!!!!!!!!

Back to work
w:James/m:Geir&James
Vocals: James
CMP Grand piano and iSymphonic French horns: Geir
as you head home late from work
so glad the day has done
too tired to think straight
concentrating solely on the road ahead
on automatic pilot
you know every twist and turn

heading up the driveway
the lights inside all off
everyone has gone to bed
you hang your jacket up
the dog is still awake
with his lead in his mouth

you put your jacket back on
and take him for a walk
you count the stars to clear your head
as they twinkle up above
you kick your shows off in the hall
and slowly climb the stairs

you put your arms around your love
and soak in all her warmth
your head sinks into the pillow
and you slowly drift off
enjoy your rest while it lasts
for tomorrow you're back to work
back to work

Stunning.

That piano sounds amazing (and I didn't hear any bum notes).  And the words / vocal sends it to another dimension.  This is collectively creativity rivalling (and putting me in mind of) mid-period Beatles for me.

Test, test, one, two, three.....is this mic on?

Beautiful song, guys - love the classical structure (piano & horns sound top-notch) along with those introspective lyrics and vocal delivery. It seems somehow familiar, but I'm sure I've never heard it before, at least not in this form. That's the mark of a classic.

Symphonic, broad, wide powerful music juxaposed with the ordinary, offsets both beautifully. This is art.
