RIP Michael Brown of The Left Banke

It was with sadness that I read the news of Mike Brown's passing yesterday at the age of 65. He was the primary songwriter and keyboardist for The Left Banke, whose hits included 'Walk Away Renee' and 'Pretty Ballerina', and later founded the groups Montage, Stories with Ian Lloyd, and The Beckies. This guy single-handedly invented the genre of 'baroque pop'.
