Thanks fellas (and lady), for all the kind comments, I think you are right Geir, and I will take a look at it again when I can find/make/beg the time.... the violin part during the chorus' was important as a refrain of 'have you been to Fanders Field?' in my head, and keep it in the forefront of the mix, with the mayhem behind it... to try to get across the tragedy and sheer scale of disaster for so many..
