Another song inspired by the main character in my sons planned short film proof of concept -
our hero lost his pregnant wife to drowning, is drinking heavily, an aquaphobe, and is being asked to save a world where the water is undrinkable by going into space to mine it and bring it back...
The riff is a nod to 'Sin City' for the AC/DC fans out there
enjoy  :)
A few stills are below to set the scene... (including yours truly looking very overweight!)

Walk the path of least resistence, walk the road that lays ahead
City lights are flying round and round my vision
But deep inside I am left for dead...that's what I said

Slip into the water let it wash away your dreams
Slip into the water let it place on your knees
Take a breath Eugene

Raise your game the stars are calling, one more drink will see you dead

Slip into the water let it wash away your dreams
Slip into the water let it place on your knees
Take a breath Eugene

Shake a leg the stars are falling, bringing change like a wrecking ball
The days are blurring round and round like a Fury
And I can't take this anymore

Slip into the water let it wash away your dreams
Slip into the water let it place on your knees
Take a breath Eugene

Wow, very atmospheric and pro sounding. Congrats to both you and Drew (I'm aware of how well he's doing). I hope you both get the credit you deserve.

Excellent soundscape, Andy - and it's to be a soundtrack for a film? How cool is that?!

I really like the combination of acoustic & electric guitars and synths with your vocals - lots of drama in the music, which helps reinforce the story in the lyrics.

thanks guys for all the kind comments, Hilary no idea how you are aware of Drew...(he is off to Porto film festival in a few weeks!), but thanks very much... and keep sending the invites to your gigs, I plan to make one of them this year!

Fab.  Love the space and atmosphere.

On my (work) cans sounded a tad bass heavy, but overall a great listen.

This is very good Andy, gives me a bit of an a Elbow vibe with that repeating cool little riff and the soft layering of the keys together with the vocal harmonies in the chorus.

I think your vocal could make anything sound "big", it just seems to have a ton of ambience and dramatism, and an almost distant sound to it whilst still very prominent in the mix each time (if that makes sense?)

Pretty cool how the wah drenched guitar solo at the end was ping ponging from one speaker to another.

As with all your songs this one gets you hooked and doesn't let go!
