Came across these 2 youtube channels about home recording
Recording Revolution
Home Studio Corner
Seems to be a lot of tips and videos there to watch and get more ideas from.

Home Studio Corner has free podcasts as well. Makes the commute fly boy. The host fielded my patchbay question last week on the air.

Also for Podcasts:
Home Recording Weekly
Home Recording Show

I also check out Pensado's Place each week on YouTube.

There are several good youtube channels for mixing, there are a ton of good help videos for help with DAWs as well.

I'd like to give a +1 to the Recording Revolution. Check out the five minute music tip series. There are three of them. Each one lasts 30 or 31 days and none (that I've seen) are over six minutes in length. Lots of good tips, several tips that don't mean a lot to me. But seriously good things to experiment with and then determine if they apply for you or not.
