I have often the suspect that most of us here are of the same SAURUS species; just think about the fact that standalone recorders are becoming more and more diffcult to find...no new models on the horizon...everything is now concentrated on DAWs...

Word of caution

"FLASH thumb drives are great for transferring data from one computer to another etc, but NEVER to be used for long term archival storage. Same goes for the conventional CD ROM. After 5-10 years, the contrast dye will fail causing read errors."

Basically, you need to back them up, as do you need to with hard drives.
