I am a bit uncertain of whether my vocal range is good or bad, or just mediocre. I'm a metal vocalist, and I've only been singing for a couple of years.

My vocal range is G1 - G6. Is this any good?

Geir

D6 ??? Seriously ? I'd say that's a really good range !!!

Yes, I've been known to reach the sixth octave when i really go for it, but I've never been certain if it's a good total range or not :/

Hook

Yea that's a pretty impressive range.

Vocal refers to singing, you do that. And range refers to all the notes he can sing. You have one to.😏👨👵👱

A 4 1/2 octave vocal range? That's pretty impressive!

The great Harry Nilsson had a 3 1/2 octave range, and he's considered one of the finest voices in pop music: http://grantland.com/features/the-legacy-harry-nilsson/
