Hi there

finally I've decided to buy what's considered today the "state of the art" for MIDI guitar: the Fishman Triple Play

http://www.fishman.com/tripleplay

I was not sure if to buy the FTP itself OR as already mounted on a Fender Strat:

http://www.fender.com/it-IT/series/deluxe/fender-fishman-tripleplay-stratocaster-hss-rosewood-fingerboard-black/

and finally, both for $$$ and "no-room-for-another guitar" reasons, I decided for the FTP, , that I've installed on my Godin Freeway SA, that since today may be called as a *super-MIDI guitar", since it may be connected both with the 13-pin Roland cable to hardware such as the Roland Gr-55, Roland VG-99, and now - WIRELESS, with the FTP - with every kind of hardware and software (VST) synth.

Here are some pictures:

As you can sse, it has a transmitter (connected with an hexaphonic pickup) that trasmits wireless to a USB -receiver.

With the FTP, a guitar player who has no idea how to play a keyboard (like me), can finally

- use any VST instrument on a PC or a Mac (Garageband, Logic, Kontakt, Sampletank and so on)

- use any synth on an iPhone/iPad (connecting the receiver through the IPad camera connection kit)

AND

- connect the receiver to the MIDI In of a hardware synth through a Kenton MIDI USB host

The tracking, precision (glitches, ghost notes and rubbish like that) after an easy setup of the pickup, are by far better than with other previous (Roland GK, Axon) systems.
