There's a little plot of land

And Collier Boulevard, I'm not sure
What it's being preserved for

Can't walk across it
I hope they don't cut these trees down
It might be just a parking lot
The trees are good to have around

I see birds in and around
I guess that's reason enough to fence this ground
Of course I could climb over the fence

Maybe in the heavy rains it might flood little and that might explain
But this fence of linked chain
Is unnecessary

It disturbs my view
Not that I often taken this view
But every now and then I do

You are turning this into a one man fest Hook, and it is amazing how you get a spark for a song from the most mundane subject matter.

The two Uke's combine to create a wonderfully melodic sound and I like the way the chord progression goes up and up in the chorus

I now feel compelled to write to your local council (or whatever equivalent you have in Florida) and ask what the hell this is fenced off for!

Excellent piece of observational songwriting.  I love stuff like this, real and real cool.  Its like we are on a personal Hook tour of Tampa.  You should do this, rent a small bus or van, take folks on the personal Hook tour, stop at all these places and play the song corresponding to it.  I would pay good money for such a unique tour of Tampa if I were a tourist looking for something offbeat to do.
