Your Ideal Guitar Spec

I love my Brook's, and I love my MM Luke - so no more need for GAS.....

My ideal changes from week to week... but one I always come back to (and happen to be on at the moment) is the Godin 5th Avenue Kingpin, black... with a bumper sticker that says "I feel good" along the bottom.

I've read some excellent reviews about the 5th Avenues. Actually, Godin always seem to get excellent reviews.

I really like that single P90, but floating bridges scare me a bit!

I love Godin guitars, I have two of them: the Freeway SA (the model used by John McLaughlin), and the ACS SA (nylon, wide neck); and also a Seagull, made by the same luthiers in Canada.

And my Freeway is becoming these next days something like a *super-MIDI guitar*.

Alfstone, does your Godin have some sort of synthetic or ebony fretboard? I have an SA, and were it not for the midi access, I would have sold it long ago. The neck just doesn't agree with me. I think it has a pretty flat radius as well, which I'm not too keen on.

Hi Blooby,
everything I know about the fretboard is what I can read in the official guitar specs: it should be rosewood.

It's rather normal that you may like or dislike guitar neck, fretboard, guitar shapes and so on according to your personal taste, fingers, hand and body structure...I agree, the radius of the Freeway is rather flat, and...I like it!
