Here's a happy one from GuerillaHook Studios . Everything except the drums was done in the car, I did the live uke take yesterday, one mic and  direct uke simultaneously. The bass & cello are thumbjam & the uke solo is my acoustic uke mic'd.

1 live uke/vocal
1 rhythm uke
1 drums (Ydd60 & 35) stereo
2 bass (I used different scales for each section)
2 cello (also used different scales)
1 uke solo

I Might Die
written & performed by Hook
I don't know what the manual said
I'm not sure if this scenario has an option for a happy ending instead
But here we are in the midst of it
What once smelled okay
now smells like shit

I kind of feel like why try
One more sneeze and I might die

No training I've ever received
Has prepared me for what I've seen and done
Each day a mystery
Unfold the paper bird carefully

I say my wings are clipped but I really just don't want to fly
One strong breeze and I might die

Really beautiful and well arranged song. The solo near the end is great.

Very nice indeed. It has the bittersweet mood that would sit nicely on an Indie film soundtrack. The languid strings work so well alongside the percussive ring of the uke. Such a beautiful solo too. Excellent!

Beautiful song, Hook - I agree with Kari, the uke and cello sound especially sweet together. Love the melancholy tone and arrangement, lyrics, production - the works. Very high quality stuff.

Very cool track, love the lyrics, in particular the 'unfold the paper bird', that's a great phrase. I was wondering how you were changing keys on the KO, but then I saw the 2 tracks - cool :) Nice balance to the mix of this song, and the solo UK has a lovely rich sound.
Keep 'em coming Bro :)

Very nice song Hook. The melancholy sentiment in the lyric and the way you phrase them work so well. You are getting a lot of mileage out of the Uke.....it sounds like it has further expanded your already creative self. Nice!
