Somewhere over the Rainbow
Andy Casson
1st February 2014
If silence is gold, I don't know why
It's taken fifty years to lknow I'm alive
But I've got to try to face tomorrow
I've got to try to go on

Somewhere over the raindow
There's a place I call home
Somewhere over the raindow
There's a place I belong

If life is pain take my sorrow
If life is hard tell me why
If life were fair we'd face tomorrow
With no sense of despair

Somewhere over the raindow
There's a place I call home
Somewhere over the raindow
There's a place I belong

Oh, whither I roam, Oh I will get home...

It is a great song Andy but I would love, love, love to hear you cover Somewhere Over the Rainbow . . .

Hey Julie (it's Sunday I think I'm allowed), I really dig the acoustic feel to this & love that syncopated rhythm guitar in the chorus. The only critical thing I would say is the bass drum sounds a bit heavy & busy. It's fine in the verse, OK I the chorus & then a little distracting in the "wither I roam" section. Other than that great song with your always passionate vocals...oh & cool harmonies!
Rock On!

Because the Hook brings you back
I ain't tellin' you no lie
The hook brings you back
On that you can rely

Man dude seriously? This is stellar!!

I know lots of people like that Wizard of Oz one but that`s for Dorothy`s who wear ruby slippers IMO.
This is more real to me.

This is way better. Great writing and as catchy as Catcher in the Rye.

Great song Andy! I was expecting to hear The Wizard of Oz version but I'm pleasantly surprised to hear it's your own and a good one at that!

Test, test, one, two, three.....is this mic on?

Love the way this hangs together, maybe with the exception of the bass drum in the chorus.
As was said previously ... Maybe a bit too busy?

The rest is Glorious, especially the acoustic guitar :)

This is a great stop and listen tune.  Good lyrics, good melody = great songwriting.
