Although it doesn't offer a solution, the following page at least confirms that other iOS users are having the same problem. It seems to have started with iOS 6. Is that the version all of you are using? Or are some of you using iOS 7 and still having the problem?

I suspect that the problem is related to download speed. If you have a slow connection, the data may be coming in slower than the playback. So the player has to keep stopping to wait for more data to arrive. Once more data arrives, it should resume playing. But it sounds like a bug in QuickTime or iOS is causing it to jump back to the beginning instead. If you have a fast internet connection, then the data should come in faster than the player can play it, so it will never have to pause to wait for more data, and that (hopefully) should mean that it won't restart partway through the song.
