Chico Hamilton - 1921-2013

Don't know how many jazzers there are out there, but the great Chico Hamilton passed away. I remember seeing a concert of his in my early teens I think on the a show called Night Flight. Have been looking for a decent copy ever since.

Jeepers, I just found two clips of it. I'm not a fan of the Gail Moran wannabe, but it's an interesting trip down memory lane. I think this might have been the first time I heard ripping guitar playing.

Great drumming - the guitars and bass aren't too shabby either. Can't do with the wailing....
