Youtube links wont play pics.

Been meaning to ask about this for a while. When a youtube link is posted I can only get the sound and no pics.
My PC used to be Vista, now I have Windows 8 and it is the same on both, any ideas what it could be ?

had a look round the net, i have windows 8 but no problem with video playback from youtube etc, but looks like it can be caused by a number of issues, most i think resolvable. here is a link with extensive discussion about the topic and various solutions,. tho it's a lot of reading and may take time to find solution relevant to you. http://vimeo.com/forums/help/topic:108560

although it's about vimeo it seems same thing affects youtube, hope it helps.
