I Finally Realize
written & performed by Hook
You seem to know but do I really care
You seem to be all around and I'm nowhere
And if I'm lost where would I be
if someone found me

I drift and I float
Hovering above in a trench-coat
A sullen look upon my face
Would I let you take my place?

You seem rock solid and I'm inflatable
A seal upon your seems while I am so fallible
And if I'm lost where would I be
If someone found me

Time drifts and passes
watching from above through horn rimmed glasses
A distant look within my eyes
A reality I finally realize

I drift and I float
Hovering above in a trench-coat
Time drifts and passes
watching from above through horn rimmed glasses

A sullen look upon my face
Would I let you take my place?
A distant look within my eyes
A reality I finally realize

I ain't tellin' you no lie
The hook brings you back
On that you can rely

Great track Bro, very nice chord changes in this. Is that a distorted Uke - sounds like a lead guitar? Great lyrics as always.

Wot? Only one comment?

This is very tasty.

I often read your intros and think "wot no guitar?!" and then don't miss it at all when I'm listening :D. Mighty cool uke-ery :)

Is just a piece of paper
To say a few lines
Make up my mind
So she can read it later

I, too, have been using thumbjam of late. It's good to hear what you're doing here so that maybe I can incorporate this style a bit more into my recordings. I really like the music here. The lyric and vocal is good, too, but I'm really drawn to the arrangement and playing/recording.

Okay, that lyric grabbed me out of my musical thoughts.. Using trenchcoat and inflatable definitely got my attention. That first verse is very good, my favorite bit lyrically.

Nice one Hook! That distorted Uke solo sounds like an electric guitar, cool!
