A song for my wife, we hit the 10 year married mark later this week, and through the ups and downs we are still in love (I know am making a huge assumption...but there is some evidence to suggest such!). Anyway... I hit six minutes on this, so unless you love the lyrics please don't feel you need to listen beyond 5 min 59 seconds  ;D

I have no idea where slightly irish rendition has come from... also no drums, no solos, no screaming guitars, no rebel lyrics etc...enjoy  :)

The Child Inside
Andy Casson
written 30th September 2013
The fool inside me site by the tree, a mind that's broken sometimes sees
The boy inside me plays on the streets, by the fireside he talks to me
The man inside me ponders these things, of the day he promised all that he is

Maybe all that glitters is not gold...but the child inside...oh he knows

A treasured moment is a precious thing, to know your love is everything
The child inside me thinks I'm a king, had the widest smile when I pledged this ring
The man inside believes you're a queen, for all you give in your love for me

Maybe all that glitters is not gold...but the child inside...oh he knows

There have been sorrows, there have been highs
Tears have fallen, smiles been wide
The boy inside me sees the girl outside
That became my love, became my wife..
The boy inside me sees the girl outside
That became my love, became my bride

Maybe all that glitters is not gold...but the child inside...oh he knows

Liking this a lot. It has a nice reflective quality that adds an interesting contrast to your usual stadium-ready epic style. We were talking about your songs when we were in Norway - over fags and booze on the verandah! You had a few drunken fans, ha ha.

The production here is outstanding, and that descending acoustic riff that runs through this is just gorgeous. What a fine piece of work.

Flash Harry

Yeah - I vaguely remember the conversation that Tim's refering to.

The Irish - wierd but it doesn't sound wrong. Reflective - I think so too.

We are here on Earth to fart around. Don't let anybody tell you any different

Emotive.  Listenable. That all I have to say

Enjoyed

I remember the conversation Tim is referring to. I'm one of your fans even when I'm not drunk. Lovely emotional song.

Beautiful Andy, introspective piece from the heart. Congrats on the ten years and I would have happily sat through another six minutes of this lovely song. Roscoe
