Got a little quirky with this one. As i am always trying to avoid a drum machine I got a little creative with my percussion. 1 track is my uke, I'm using a pocket comb with my left hand and my ring & middle finger on the right hand playing the main beat. Another track is the pocket comb, played like a guiro with a ball point pen and then I have a track using a stapler. Partially done in Nissan Sentra Studios and around the house over the last week, mixed/mastered on the mbr.

1-distorted uke
1-bass
1-ukussion
1-pocket comb guiro
1-stapler
1-vocal
1-flute (thumbjam)
1-electric guitar (thumbjam)

Too many times I look up to find
I'm unaware of where I am
                       Filled With Fear
                      Terrorized
                       Encapsulated
                       Glass encased pie
Built myself up high, a fall could break a bone
No one to hold my hand, I'm alone
                       Filled With Fear
                      Terrorized
                       Encapsulated
                       Glass encased prize
I'm just a house of cards built upon shaky legs
Ready for some wind but not a hurricane
                        Filled with fear
                        Immobilized
                        Evaporated
                        Memories & lies
                        Filled with fear
                        Scandalized
                        Elevated
                        Immortalized
Too many times I look up to find
I'm unaware of where I am

Love the percussion.
Really interesting song, listened hard to hear the stapler.

Some great guerrilla percussion Hook! The distorted Uke rocks big time. I like the slow paced vocal melody against the more urgent backing tracks. Nice and creative work!

Brilliant!  A bit reminiscent of "Oye Como Va" in a few places.

Hey Bro. You are always full of ideas and creativity, hope you didn't go through too many staples though :-)
This track is a groove fest, very 60's, trippy music, the distorted Uke works really well as well. Great track!

Hey guys, thanks for the nice comments! I haven't been writing much lately and almost scraped this one. The vocal/lyrics came to me quite suddenly in a mall parking lot on Wed. and then the thumbjam parts finished it off. I can't believe what I can do with the iphone, I've always heard stuff in my head but never thought I'd be able to produce it.
The stapler comes in at the 15 sceond mark, measure 9 I think. It has a very similar sound as the comb hitting the bridge of the uke, it's the quieter, thinner click.

I never would have made the connection & when I read it I didn't really see it but when I listened again I heard it. Not what I think of as my usual influence, but it all comes out eventually.

You know I always considered myself as pretty well rounded musically, I like music from all styles and genres, but I've noticed more of that 60's sound in my writing since the uke entered my life and maybe more so, thumjamb.

Thanks again for listening!

Dam it man, masterfully done.
Your creativity runneth over.

The lyrics are just as creative as the music.

Impressive piece.
