"IS IT?" a Hook original

So I'm a bit of a news hound, not quite a  political junkie. I woke up yesterday to the typical nonsense of the fiscal cliff and the utter incompetence of our elected officials to come up with a solution. I wrote/started the lyrics while on my way to my first job yesterday. I had 2 sessions in Nissan Sentra Studios, the first was rather short & I wrote the music and finished the lyrics. Went and did another job and had another session, about an hour & a half, realized I didn't like the music I had written so I re wrote the music and recorded this.
I actually wrote the music, the 2nd version that is, as a metaphor for the lyrics. The base uke track (finger picked) represents the hustle and bustle of D.C. behind the lyrics. The 2 lead parts are Obama & Boehner, some nice polite fluff with the occasional dissonance to remind you that it's going nowhere.

Wow Bro - fab sounds coming from my speakers. Lovely clean recorded sounds and wonderfully rich and deep vocals. Really well done. Love the slightly twisted and questioning lyrics with a thick coating of irony - almost verging on a sneer :-) Only what politicians deserve!!!

I must admit it took me a couple of listens to "get this", but now I do and love the whole leftfield feel of it, and the way of have combined the uke's is extremely clever and unique.

The vocal sound wonderful and the production makes every aspect of this song stand out clearly.
