It's time to vote for our next two festivals which will run from September 1 to October 31. Voting starts now and runs for 5 days. You can change your vote any time until the closing of the poll on August 29. To do so, click "Remove vote" to cancel your previous vote, then vote again.

This poll is for the "Artists/Covers" festival. There is a separate poll for the "Theme/Genre" festival here:

https://songcrafters.org/community/index.php?topic=16128.0

Please vote in both polls.

Descriptions of some of the less-obvious choices:

Britpop - See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Britpop.

Sun Records artists - Covers of songs by artists who famously recorded at Sun Records (Elvis Presley, Roy Orbison, Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis, etc.). See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sun_Records.

BeatlesFest II - Sequel to our most popular festival yet. There are still lots of Beatles songs left that we haven't covered. Plus there's all of the solo works of Lennon, McCartney, Harrison, and Starr.

Public Domain fest - Covers of any songs whose copyright has expired. This varies according to the country. In the USA, songs published before 1923 are now in the public domain. See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Public_domain_in_the_United_States, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_countries%27_copyright_length, and http://www.google.com/webhp?hl=en#hl=en&q=public+domain+songs

I regret that my only reason for voting for Sun Recordings is that I have a grindcore/Type O Negative version of "Falling in Love With You" Lurking somewhere.  :D LOL ;D
