You wanted to know v2 128kb

A song about the trials and tribulations of middle age, marriage, what's in the past and where dos the future go.
My guitar work lets this down a bit, but thanks to Mr Lines for some lovely bass playing

enjoy...I think?! ;D

v2 with a more considered guitar arrangement

You Wanted To KNow
Written by Andy Casson

You wanted to know where I'm failing
You figured out [long ago] that I'm too old
You wanted to know why I'm trailing
Tried to change the cards I held, now I fold

Don't second guess don't ask me why
You shouted out, you passed me by
Somehow I blinked and life slid by
But you wanted to know
Don't raise your voice don't take that tone
There's a thousand reasons don't you know
But my feeling is that you're going to go
But you...wanted to know

You wanted to know why I'm falling
But did not take the reasons when I told
You wanted to change my ways but I'm stalling
I can see it in your eye you're going to go

Great song Mr C as always, brilliant guitar playing and loved the bass. It's a brave thing, putting your life out there in a song and it's a privilege to listen - love and light, Mr C, love and light.

I don't venture much onto the originals as I only ever played in cover  bands and have only co-written one song many years ago.  I always enjoy your covers Andy so I thought I'd give this a try.  Love it from the first listen. Reckon I'm of a similar age so the lyrics ring true - lovely song !! One for the i-pod.

Wow
Mark called it. This is some solid work.
The drums were a pleasant surprise and your guitar work is aces.

That been said... Your vocals kicked ass. So expressive and worked perfectly with this piece.

Hell, in some parts remind me Bon Jovi.

Well Done
