"Book Of Faces" a Hook original

Been fiddling around with this uke part for a few days and it really came together this morning. Once I got the chords down the lyrics came out in about 20 min. Recorded this live tonight and added some viola with thumbjam. It took me many takes to get through this one, the vocal is not perfect but I can't play the uke part right without singing along and the pick up gets my voice a bit so this will have to do.

Really liked it Hook but IMO I thought the viola was a little loud in the mix - I wanted to hear more of the uke, it was so pretty. Thanks for posting.

Nifty little song, Hook. Reminds me a bit of Harry Chapin...hope you don't mind the comparison.

I really liked the interplay between the fingerstyle uke and the viola. And I've got mixed feelings about Facebook myself, so the lyrics also resonate with me.
