You've got a lot of potential here. Great voice and a great feel to your ideas.

Lots of other good ideas on this thread. What I would suggest is to take a couple of tracks from your favourite, most inspirational artist and dissect them. Listen to them carefully, identify the different sections (you will probably find some kind of intro, verses and choruses that are repeated, and then instrumental fills and solos), count the beats in each section (try bars of four, ie count 1-2-3-4 and make a mark on a piece of paper each time you count four) and write it all down. You will see there are similarities in structure to most pop/rock songs (unless you like prog or jazz, in which case you can firget all of this!). Then use the structure of the songs you like as an inspiration for yours. That will give you a starting point as you develop your own style.
