What are you listening to right now?

T.C. Elliott

The Bottle Rockets live at the Duck Room, St. Louis 27th, December, 2008. It's a boot, but the band lets recorders come into shows as long as they let them know in advance. Pretty clean recording all things considered. Damn fine show. I was there and loved it.

In 2008 it was the Bottle Rockets 15th anniversary and they allowed message boaders to post set lists of 20 songs with one cover. They picked a set list for each of their 15 headlining shows (they also recorded the new album that came out this August) and I was lucky enough to be a set list winner. On this show they played a second set of all the covers from all 15 shows. It was pretty cool.

They also gave away that Creston Guitar I've been drooling over for a year and a half. Better start saving some pennies.

Is the rest of the album this good?  RH has a reputation (in my mind anyway) of being somewhat uneven.

i'm a big fan, its a great album  and i would say thats certainly not the best track. the first venus 3 album ole tarantula is much better, that said each listen of the new one it just gets better and better.

my fave from this album is this one. i had it as the ringtone on my phone for a year or two.

Great riffs. Great Texas blues. Back-in-the-saddle rock.
