Just picked up both Andy Timmons live DVDs.  He's got the most glorious tones for an instrumental rock guy.  I love the fact he doesn't scoop his mids.

As for Storyville, David Grissom is the man.  Talk about tone for days.  I thought that band was really underrated.  They just came out with a live cd/dvd set as well.  Good stuff.

As for me, I am currently listening to The Police, which is odd for me.  I never really got into them aside from Stewart Copeland's drumming.

Not  me but yeah I noticed that.

I'm listening to Andy Summer's XYZ solo album - Urk!! Not a very good album, but the production quality is worth taking notes on. But talk about worst lyrics:

"In my head these broken lines.....Make me feel like Frankenstein"
"Now where did I put my stream of thought. But hey, fc*K it!!!!!!! -Mokbul"

Excellent!! I am a huge Buckethead fan. Have many of his albums including the banned Japan stuff, Death Cube K, Praxis - The guy is far out. Was disappointed with the G 'n R debacle, but we all make mistakes  :D

I'm envious - you will have fun!!!

The GNR stint was a Pay Day / Cash Grab IMHO, getting something back for all the many hours of woodshedding hes done.  it's not that bad really.

I agree, you have to make a "buck" when you can, and Buckethead deserves loads of cash for his talent. Axl Rose is such a shitstick, though... He fired the Eagles of Death Metal from his tour once... I just don't like that guy.

I recorded this on cassette from the radio maybe in 1993 and it took a long time when I found out what is the name of this band! The bass is played by Penn Jillette (Penn & Teller-show). They made an album 'Never mind the Sex Pistols, here's Bongos Bass and Bob' (1988).

This isn't any mainstream stuff,-).
