I read a story about a fighting rooster in India that killed it's owner...apparently there was a 3 inch knife attached to the cocks leg...and he slashed his owner in the groin area with it.... so who won the cock fight?
not to make fun of a death of any human...but I can't condone pitting animals against each other for sport... my god...man...
anyway I thought of this song... hadn't heard it in years.... to be honest i didn't even know who sang it or what it was about... I just remember how compelling the voice and music were...
CAUTION:  THE VIDEO HAS GRAPHIC SCENES FROM VIETNAM AND REENACTMENTS...

One of my great Songcrafters disappointments is that I never covered "Valley Girl" with Geir – as we plotted to do for the 2010 Zappafest. My stepdaughter was going to do the vocals. She was just on the cusp of the age where she would be embarrassed to do such a thing with me. Time passed, and she crossed over the threshold.

I now have another adopted daughter in my life, 9 years old; young enough that she still loves doing things with me. English is not her first language, but that might make it all the more charming. I may have discovered the subconscious motivations for many life decisions over the past 11 years.

This popped up in Twitter today.

I'm not the biggest Aerosmith fan, but this is fantastic:

Right now listening to this. You gotta be in the right frame of mind... admittedly couldn't listen to much Miles for many years, I guess most of it went above my head, but this hits the spot at the moment... pretty trippy actually

It's VERY trippy. I used to listen to this a lot. But not as much as his Sketches of Spain album.

I'm the same as you - I only started getting into 'Kind of Blue' when I hit 30. But I've loved it ever since.
