the definitive english version of a french song written by a belgian

Oh I love the French version of this,  Ne me quitte pas.

...and...er....a live (rather unorthodox) Rome dialect version by the great Italian actor Gigi Proietti...the text says (more or less) from the beginning to the end: "Don't f*ck with me!"  ;D

I am currently chilling with a glass of Rioja and listening to Erasure 'Wonderland' interspersed with 'All About Eve' and some Radiohead. Blimey - eclectic mix and all thanks to my beautiful Pioneer stereo that I got for my 40th birthday... doncha just LOVE cassettes, vinyl and continuous play?! xx

Very nice. Since being on songcrafters - I find that I analyse recording, to see what the engineer has done. The guitar is very slightly compressed, and the vocals are really up front - right in your face. Sounds like very little verb, and lots of delay - quite interesting. Vocals are really mixed high. Well thats my 10p worth - may be completely wrong - but is sounds great.

Right now... I think its Soft Machine... kind of whacky Jazz Rock Fusion. But in general lately a lot of Rory Gallagher and I am starting to lean to the frame of mind that pound for pound (please don't hit me...) he was better than Jimi Hendrix. I know this is not the generally accepted view but just thinking he kind of had the lot. So many different styles he was comfortable to see as part of his armoury, country, jazz, blues, hard rock, folk. Then there's the voice... so rich and full of feeling.
