I'm sure it will come as no great surprise, Geir, to learn that I am a huge fan of It Bites.  I must have seen them a dozen times including a few pub gigs.  Hugely underated band.  I spoke to Frank Dunnery on a number of occaisions and he's a really nice chap.  Here's a song of his that shows another side to his talent.

Look at how frigging loose Ron Wood is on that guitar, thats incredible to watch. He has the groove.  Deadly.  Totally underrated guitarist. And then there's Buddy Guy, damn fine to watch.  My favorite of the old Blues guys.

Alternate Tunings: CAUTION: your fingers have to be in different places

No surprice at all!! And I agree with all you said !! I've met Mr Dunnery twice myself, on house-concerts in Norway, and he's a reaøøy nice chap indeed, and one hell of an entertainer!! His storys are almost as entertaining as his music. And what an unique talent !!! On one of the shows he did a medley of 70s songs, building a couple of them up by playing different instrument parts on his acoustic guitar. For those who haven't seen him, I highly recommend it. I think he's touring the UK now.

Oh well ........

Might possibly have had a fraction too much scotch (if such a thing is possible) last night, so a gentle start to the day from Mark Knopfler and the Notting Hillybillies playing Ragpickers Dream......Willie

So you can get The Beatles on iTunes now. Yawn.

The big loser in this is Joe Goldmark, whose "Steelin' the Beatles" album is going to sell fewer tracks now that real Beatles songs will turn up in iTunes searches.

Goldmark's version of Flying is sublime:
