I am listening to an old song of Noir Désir, a great french band, with the charismatic leader Bertrand Cantat... it's from 1997, and it's called "A ton étoile". Great music, great poetry in the lyrics...

I've got tickets to see him at Sheffield Leadmill in 10 days, I've also got serious GAS for the Johnny Marr Jaguar that Fender have brought out, it's seriously nice!!

not heard the johnny marr album yet, but saw him on tv doing the single from it, and thought it was very lacklustre and was greatly disappointed by it.
been listening to the new flaming lips album the terror and can't decide as to whether it is just a noise or their finest work to date, first album i have listened to that actually left me physically disorientated.
it is pretty mental and out there.

this one is possibly the most accessible .
