Thats good man...I like
I loved this! Went looking for more stuff and discovered he passed away in 2003. What a loss...

yes...very sad. Stab wound to the chest...probably self inflicted. It went "unsolved". Here's another one that gave this already very dramatic scene from The Royal Tenembaums even more weight. There was such beauty and sadness in his songs. One of my all time favourite films.

The Sad Kermit version is also very good:

Soulful Roots.

Winston Rodney (aka Burning Spear) as Joseph Hill (late leader of Culture) listens.

Notice that they each have one burning.

Sandy, Your rather sad tale about poor old Gene and his deteriorating mental health has got me on a mad Ween kick here.  They lived out the old-school rock and roll dream didn't they, especially Gene.  Incredible voice when he is "on", unbelievable really.  That cover of Led Zep is outstanding, he's like a musical savant or something.

Quotehis deteriorating mental health

I wouldn't go that far...I think he just indulged a bit excessively while they were here...Vancouver can do that to a man. It was the first show of the tour and they're not in their 20's anymore.

Reviews from Seattle and Portland have been very positive.

I am relieved to hear that Sandy, the man is a flipping musical giant isn't he.

I love those two guys, I feel it listening to their shit, deep music for deep minds for sure, they are like miners for the truth, or something like that...I wish I could write a song 1/10 as truthful as they have, thats a goal of mine.  That picture of when they were kids is really something, what a story, what an amazing journey they have had.
