this was song was written by chris vaisvil, he does guitars and he is doing the synths after the intro, the composition, arrangement and mixing is all his work.
i am doing the bass, drums, vocals, the synths in the intro part, and wrote the lyrics. bear with it, it should be worth the ride.

ohhh the
chains that binded me
i'm not
part of this damn world
if you
could feel the things i see
you would
die so fuckin horribly
time has
left me so far behind
i can't understand my restless mind

i live in a horror of nothingness
i can't even live my life
i have never had most anything
that you take for granted, enjoyed and thrived!

ohhh ohhh
why was i ever born
ohhh ohh
to the chains of a tortured soul
ohhh ohhh
all i touch dies horribly
ohhh ohh
i can't even love anymore!

i have come back from insanity
but shadows still darken me
i've come back from the ghastly dead
now   i   count   the days

days and years of total eclipse
silence, lonliness perpetually with me
time meant nothing but waiting for death
and i cannot ever find peace again
and i cannot ever find love again
nevermore nevermore nevermore
nevermore nevermore nevermore

ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
i am the living apocrypha!

i have somehow survived all of this
i can only thank myself cause
i pulled myself out of the depths
but i have demons to destroy

ahhhhhhhhhhh
ahhhhhhhhhhh
ahhhhhhhhhhh
i am the living apocrypha!

Loving the vocals on this one, your singing is getting pretty damn good. The whole track is dark, foreboding and very atmospheric, which I am guessing is what you intended from the intent of the lyrics.....

Very interesting arrangement and structure all round, cool stuff.

Cheers,

Nigel

thanks ferryman
not too bad for a almost 53 yr old guy singing who never really sang nor was known for it back in the day with past bands. the song was dark and doomy when chris presented it to me. i chose apocrypha cause it means to be cast out cast aside. so i wrote around a fellow who just never seemed to fit in. but yet, hung in there all the way. the mood of the song inspired me to write the lyrics and how it should be sung. once one gets past the intro, shit hits the fan!  :P        thanks to rat- as well :)

Youngster! I'm 55 this year, never had a singing lesson in my life but that doesn't stop me having a go (and even pretending to be a lead vocalist at one point back in the day). Keep going with it, you are doing really well, clearly a man of many talents!

Cheers,

Nigel

Frank, you and Chris have done a hell of a job with this song. Nicely done in its entirety.

Brought me a flashback to the days when Yes was one of my favorite bands.

And who the heck is talking about 55 being old?
I'll be 70 next June, and I plan on playing for my own funeral...live.
That will be a bit on the creepy side.
