Back in May, Booker T (of MG's fame) www.bookert.com released another solo CD 'The Road To Memphis' http://www.amazon.com/Road-Memphis-Booker-T-Jones/dp/B004S7G6CW/ref=sr_1_1?s=music&ie=UTF8&qid=1328382145&sr=1-1. I've had it since than and still play it just about every day.

For the most part, Booker is backed in the studio by 'The Roots' , and on vocals besides Booker T, are Matt Berninger of the National, Yim Yames of 'My Morning Jacket', Sharon Jones and Lou Reed.

Dennis Coffey and 'Capt' Kirk on guitars provide funky riffs to all the song.

But to me, it's ?uestlove's funky drumming and Owen Biddle bass tracks recorded &engineered by Gabe Roth (Dap Kings) that makes this album outstanding IMO.
