This will be great!

Davidsen "Zoo Station"
Greeny  "Even Better Than The Real Thing"
Burtog   "One"
dasilvasings  "Until the End of the World"
andrewh  "So Cruel"
andycasson  "The Fly"
thetworegs  "Mysterious Ways"
Facemask93  "Ultraviolet (Light My Way)"
FuzzFace  "Acrobat"
Bluesberry "Love is Blindness"

* * *

That just leaves "Who's Gonna Ride Your Wild Horses" and "Trying to Throw Your Arms Around The World"!
These songs could be done all kinds of ways.
The single version of WGRYWH was more accessible than the album version.
The live arrangment of TTTYAATW was amazing.

I was lucky enough to see them at Earl's Court on the Elevation tour in the early noughties, and they really blew me away.

Me too, saw them in 2001 at Earls court, I think Nelly Furtado was support?
I didn't see her, was too busy drinking!

Me too! I have no idea who was supporting - I was in the VIP area getting smashed, lol (back in the heady old days when companies did hospitality stuff like that for their clients...). I still have the Elevation pass hanging on my wardrobe door, but I lost the fancy U2 luggage tag they gave me a long time ago.

I loved the way they came out with all the lights still up and just totally ripped into it.

Quote from: Davidsen on October 30, 2011, 01:59:29 PMHow long do you feel we should have to complete this?

By the end of the U2 Fest would be a good timeframe.

Achtung Baby was released 19 November 1991, so how about aiming for 19 November 2011 as the release date for the Songcrafters 20th anniversary tribute? That seems appropriate and should allow enough time (nearly 3 weeks) for everyone to complete their songs.

Our creative energy can feed off each other's posts, so I say don't hold back.
