Just read this on a news site.

A bit of a hero of mine.

Not a whole lot of good news about at the moment.

SteveB

A fine musician of many years standing. I wish him well.

Oh dear. Saw him on the heavy metal Britannia documentary, brought back some happy memories from my youth.

That is truly a shame.....he's a fine musician. I found this release of a statement from Jon Lord's web site

"I would like all my friends, followers, fans and fellow travelers to know that I am fighting cancer and will therefore be taking a break from performing while getting the treatment and cure.

I shall of course be continuing to write music – in my world it just has to be part of the therapy – and I fully expect to be back in good shape next year.

God bless and see you soon."

On the same say Lord announced the release of a new orchestral album, Jon Lord Live.

I hope it all works out for him and that this is just a minor set back for Jon Lord.
