I am sad to hear of Dan Peek passing away.He was, along with Gerry and Dewey a big influence on me when I first got into Acoustic guitar. A great talent. :(

This is a real loss to the music world even though Dan Peek sort of dropped out of sight when he quit America many years ago. It's  especially a loss to those of us that were learning America's songs way back when they were brand new. I still play several of them when I do the occasional solo acoustic gig. I remember the first time I heard Horse With No Name.  I thought it was a new song by Neil Young. Darn...it makes me stop and think.....he was just one year older then me.......

RIP Dan Peek........
