For those that wanted more, here's one I fought over way too long.  2nd verse isn't very fluid, lead at end needed edit that became noticeable but you pros tell me.  Good enough as is or should I just bite the bullet and rework from scratch?  Critics always welcome and thanks for listening!   ;D

(c) Ken J Hill 7/11  "Follow Through"
--------------------------------------------
This time I have to follow through

You know it's something I must do

You've heard it many times before

But no more walking out the door
-------
It's for your good I need to say

It's time you start anew today

Before you've either hidden or ran

Now you have to take a stand
-------
-------
There's never been a day I don't think of you

Even though I'm sure you don't want me too

It's hard to get a chance when you're not there

Always on the run have no time to spare
-------
We have to find a way we can reconnect

But when I try you give me no respect

No more shall I wonder just where you are

Cause sooner or later you will go too far

Test, test, one, two, three.....is this mic on?

Nelson

Nice groove on the drums and bass.
Sweeeeet solo.

Fix what you think needs fixing but I don't think there's enough to have to start from scratch.

Over dub, the parts you feel you have to but I think it's a solid piece... Brother

Thanks much for good words!  Grateful Dead?  Gee guys, I'm honored!  Good advise Nelson - I get too lazy to practice a part til it's just right and instead cut and piece together parts from multiple takes.  Comes from the days of MIDI sequenceing.  5 minutes of playing and 5 hours of editing.... :D

I love the vocals here Ken. It's never been a mystery that I've always enjoyed your music, but I think you've improved quite a bit as a singer since I started listening to you. Very well done.

I like this. A lot.

It has a brilliant feeling about it, there has to be some African influence surely - a bit of Hugh Masekela?

The timing is a bit loose but I think that just enhances the end product. It is addictive and it makes me want to get up and dance.
We are here on Earth to fart around. Don't let anybody tell you any different

Nice tune!!!  Very well done.  Your guitar work is always exceptional.

Dig the excellent lead playing!!!

Nothing to change as far as I can tell. As Flash says, the looseness is part of the charm. And there certainly is a little African influence on the lead licks in particular. Maybe you're still too 'close' to this one to judge it yourself, but as an impartial listener I can tell you it's a damn good song. There's something a bit special about this one - one of your best, imo.

Geir

Yep ... this is all good !

I'm a big fan of your music, and you didn't dissapoint me this time either !

The last lead is perhaps a bit loose, but it works well, I'd probably keep it if it were me. I certainly wouldn't change anything else!
