ken sent me a campfire tune as a singalong, so i wrote a lyric based on my norway excursion and the fact that met will be getting together again soon.

we want as many singers as possible to add to this so post your vocal track minus the music on this thread and we will add to it

It's bin a while since we got together
But that times coming round again
I hope you gathered up all the wood
The winter wind harvested
I know that fire's gonna burn real good
We'll all gather there
Have a drink and get in the mood
Got no worries got no cares
Pluck some strings and eat some food
We're gonna have a party yeah

You know it only seems like yesterday
Time plays tricks on me
And as we all get a little bit older
The days just seem to run away
I hope you gathered up all the wood
The winter wind harvested
I know that fire's gonna burn real good
We'll all gather there
Have a drink get in the mood
Got no worries got no cares
Pluck some strings and eat some food
We're gonna have a party yeah

We.re gonna start a fire
We.re gonna start a fire

It's bin a while since we got together
But that times coming round again
I think we're in for some better weather
I'm sure the sun is gonna shine
I hope you gathered up all the wood
The winter wind harvested
I know that fire's gonna burn real good
We'll all gather there
Have a drink get in the mood
Got no worries got no cares
Pluck some strings and eat some food
We're gonna have a party yeah

Good vox, and I love how the guitars play off of each other left to right. I'd sing but a cold and 20 takes of the other day have me a bit down.

initially i was thinking as many voices as possible for a raucous singalong, but its a campfire song so do what you would do at a campfire, sing a bit sing it all, or play a bit. if you add on to it, but send individual tracks to me or ken for mixing. rather than posting additions naked you can post a mix of your additions here but pm myself or ken to send individual additions for a final mix.

This song is beautiful, the guitar sounds great and Jim has already started the new good magic moments!
Cheers!

nothing is real... So theres nothing to get hung about!

Kenneth

ok, i'll try again one day LG!

Kari, that Tanglewood jumbo is an amazing acoustic guitar. Even though it is a mid series acoustic (TW 155 st? i can't remember) I have compared it to mant high end acoustics, and I just want to keep it.

It's a dream to play and sounds very full, here in the house. My wife doesn't even tell me to "turn that racket down!"  lol

Even though it has B-Band electronics in it, I recorded it straight into the br600 mics instead, as I love those mics.

This might sound silly, but when I recorded the secong guitar, I put the click track low, so I could barely hear it, that way my timimg would be a little off, giving it a rougher , casual campfire feel.

Oh, and I put new strings on it recently, that's a big help.

You guys want to add here? have some campfire fun?  lol  ;D

 How 'bout harmonica?
