For me the winning formula is black stovetop espresso, breakfast cereal and Jack Daniels on ice in a tea cup, alternating every 20 minutes for 3 days straight.

strong coffee, a double espresso, a ciggy, copious stellas and the house to myself, tho sometimes i have none of the above, but if you check out my vids usually all of the above are involved and  in excess .to give me the old dutch courage to get in front of the camera, one night i did 3 videos for youtube and you can see the chronology of the vids as the empty cans piled up behind me, but you didnt need that clue as i was in a right old state by the last one. i think cognac was in the mix that night too.

Ciggies are essential songwriting kit for me. I'll do some chord arrangements (or get a good riff going), and then somehow I'll get a tune floating around. That's when I need to go outside and start smoking. Lyrics and cigarettes seem to go together very well  :)

Double espresso, or a fine Cost Rican blend (french pressed).
