I've considered remixing this song with the experience and equipment I have now, but after listening to the old mix again I thought: What the heck, it sounds nice enough. Who knows if I'll not ruin it, so I'll better leave it as is. ;)

The song started out as an experiment in 2008, I think, at a collaboration site that has ceased to exist. I posted a synthetic guitar track, and Cristina Farias quickly came up with a lyric and vocal melody for it. Then Dan Clancy added a real guitar track, and the unparalleled Billy Playle contributed some pretty synth strings.

The remaining parts (bass and drums) were done by myself again, and I also mixed and mastered the song. At least I tried. ;) 8)

I'll have to dig the (Portuguese) lyrics out of my backups if anybody wants them ...

Folk, yes - also exotic and unique. Sublime vocals, and the washes of synth strings are dramatic and effective. A nice listen on a pleasant Sunday afternoon.

I haven't listened to the radio for years (except when I'm in the kitchen for a couple of minutes to prepare my dinner). And when I buy CDs they are old CDs (of music from the 60s, 70s and early 80s). All the new music I listen to is from homerecording sites - no kidding!

Thanks for your nice comments, folks!
