What is the difference between a Telecaster and a Stratocaster?

This was an interesting thread to read!!  In the early 90's  I went to buy a Fender,  wasn't sure  which one i wanted.  Money was an issue!! Turned out I think I got a good deal!!!

Leo Fender sure knew what he was doing.

He sold his name and started a new line!!  The G & L!!  It was cheaper at the time than either Strats or Tele's  so I bought one.  I  had no clue until just a few years ago what it might be worth.   LOL  But now I long for a Strat, and a Tele, and a PRS, and A Jackson , and the list goes on and on!! LOL We will never be happy.
