I never knew King Crimson went on the Midnight Special! This is with John Wetton and Bill Bruford when they were in band.

Keith, thanks for posting this... wow... Wetton is my favorite musician!  So this was a thrill to see... I feel as if he only got better and better through the years, especially at writing songs that so many people could relate to.... Asia is a top 5 band for me, and their latest albums were so great.  But this was great.  The guitar player did very cool stuff and Bruford is controlled chaos.  The keyboard/violin I only became aware of since I have been on SC...
John Wettons bass playing on this was so good too... I do dig prog and this was even a bit more psychadelic prog to me.... twas a very cool thing... but this band never would have appealed to the masses..

Paul, I love Tull, almost the same way I love Kansas... but I am not as familiar with their catalog (I have heard all of Kansas stuff, many, many times)... there is no other performer I can think of like Ian Anderson.  He is so bizare.  I really dig his vocals alot and his antics.  Overall though this band is off the charts... certainly a prog band but to me they have roots in some very antiquated kind of music vibe.  Growing up I think the first song of their's I heard was "Bungle In The Jungle"... as time went on I started to listen to them more and more... I had Ian's solo work, "Walk Into Light" ... I love to listen to that still.
They do remind me of Kansas in every way except vocally quite different.  But the similarity is they do pretty much all sing, as does most of Kansas as well...
cool song...cool post

"You ain't no ape, your a trogolodyte".... this band is somewhat Talking Heads, somewhat Cars, somewhat Doors, somewhat 60's, somewhat The Smithereens, but mostly it's rockin chaos, somehow controlled by the most normal dude in the band, the drummer... can you imagine where all this could go with someone else on drums... this rocked my world man

This is the cults most recent album from 2022, very surprised at how good it is. Always liked them, but I think this could be one of their best albums

This is a dumb song made popular on TikTok. But it really resonates with me – although my version would be "My dad in 1955." My dad was part of the "silent generation," where it any able-bodied white guy with work ethic and a stable personality was set up to succeed in America. I don't think I was ever impressed with the shirts. I was the one with good shirts in 1985.

The sun goes down
The sky turns black
I can hardly wait for you
I can't believe the madness
In everything you do
I used to dream in black and white
Now I see the world in a different light
Your love colors, colors everything
Your love colors, colors everything
Your love colors, colors everything
Your love colors, colors everything
Oh oh
Now come in to me
Fill me and fill me
Show me your colors baby
Your love colors
I slept in fear
And woke in pain
Till you came in close to me
I was cold
Like frozen rain
Your kiss melted me
You speak your mind just like a child
Won't be defined by when you smile
Your love colors, colors everything
Your love colors, colors everything
Your love colors, colors everything
Your love colors, colors everything
Oh oh
Now come in to me
Fill me and fill me
Show me your colors baby
Your love colors
Your love colors everything
Your love colors everything
Your love colors everything
Your love colors everything

This is one of my all time favorite song by Chrissie Hynde and The Pretenders.  It proves a point about my music tastes... that is that usually my favorite songs of a band are not the critically acclaimed.  This song doesn't even show up in the top 20 of the band and yet it is my favorite not even close.... it just hits me right in my heart, right in my soul.  The lyrics, the vocal delivery, the music... it is so good... I would like to try and cover this but probably won't ... I would end up crying the whole time.
