I don't know half of you half as well as I should like, and I like less than half of you half as well as you deserve.

I first heard Monte Montgomery about 10 years ago. Just ran across a video of his and started watching some again. One of the best acoustic players I've ever heard. Excellent singer/songwriter as well.

Check out 'Could've Loved You Forever', 'River' (great slide work), and his instrumental version of 'Little Wing', amongst others.

There are only three kinds of drummers. Those who can count, and those who can't.

I've been listening to Kaleidoscope on youtube, the psychedelic band featuring the late David Lindley, when I ran across this gem that I had forgotten about: 'Nobody', featuring Larry Williams and Johnny 'Guitar' Watson and Kaleidoscope (they are doing the droney, Eastern-flavored music). A crazy mixture of 1950s rock'n'roll & blues with Larry Williams & Johnny Watson on vocals, and the psychedelic 1960s with Kaleidoscope's trippy musical backer.

I love quirky stuff like this:

This is a bit mad but I love it.  A bit Gentle Giant-ish.

Good stuff Paul, I actually visited the wrong band on you tube at first... the band name was Elephants Never Forget. Luckily they were not too bad either, but after a couple of songs I thought, hang on, is this really what Paul meant to publish. So actually slowing down to figure out properly I found the right band/music :)

Excellent stuff, will be on my imac tomorrow.

I never knew King Crimson went on the Midnight Special! This is with John Wetton and Bill Bruford when they were in band.
