Title: 25 Years Ago Today...
Post by: Saijinn Maas on January 04, 2011, 02:17:37 PM
... The music world lost Phil Lynott of Thin Lizzy.

He died of heart failure and pneumonia in the hospital's intensive care unit on 4 January 1986 aged 36.

Just thought I'd make note as today is the 25th anniversary of his death. I've been listening to Thin Lizzy all day while at work in remembrance.

I saw Thin Lizzy at Wembley June 22 1978.  Superb gig.  One of the best.

A great loss it was. He made some fabulous music. And showed the world you don't have to be a eunuch to be a heavy vocalist!
