Good stuff and thankyou for your hard work. One quick question. On the home page there is a little box with "guitar and headphones" on it and a little red X. What does it all mean?

It means the image that's supposed to appear there is missing. I've already asked Pedro to send it to me. When he does, I'll fix that.

We've increased the upload limit from 5MB to 6MB (thanks Mike!). The exact limit is now 6,292 KB (decimal), which is 6,292,000 bytes. Windows reports file sizes rounded to the nearest binary megabyte or kilobyte. So, when Windows says a file is 6.0 MB, the actual size is about 6,291,456 bytes (depending on whether it rounded the actual size up or down), which is just below our limit.

We should now be able to upload most 3 or 4 minute songs at 192kbps. Longer songs may have to be reduced to 160kbps or even 128 kbps.

We'll be keeping an eye on the total size of our attachments folder (currently 12GB). If it gets too big, we may have to reduce the upload limit. I think we can avoid that if some of the frequent posters move some of their files offsite (weebly.com, fileden, etc.) and link to those files with the [singlemp3][/singlemp3] tags instead. It's not compulsory, but it would help to slow the growth of our attachments folder so that other members can continue to upload their files here and, hopefully, we won't have to reduce the upload limit.

The "Play all my songs" jukebox now has a scrollable members list so you can easily check out the music of other members. Only members who have uploaded one or more MP3s are shown. The total number of them is shown in parenthesis at the top of the list. Currently, 326 members have uploaded MP3s. Also, the number of MP3s uploaded by each member is shown in parenthesis beside their name. Member names with a darker colour are ones whose playlist you've visited. Lighter coloured ones are those that you've not yet clicked on (recently).

Now that we can easily go to any member's "Play all my songs" jukebox via the member list within it, I thought we should have a button at the top of each page so we can get to the jukebox quickly. The only trouble is, the jukebox requires a member ID number to be specified and it didn't seem fair to have the button default to one member's jukebox. So I decided to add a "Random Dozen" feature when the non-existent member #0 is specified and have the "Member Jukeboxes" button go there.

(https://songcrafters.org/forum/Themes/songcrafters/images/Member%20Jukeboxes.png) (https://songcrafters.org/forum/index.php?action=Playall)

It picks 12 songs randomly out of all of the songs uploaded by all members since Dec 16, 2007 and plays them in the jukebox. I also added the fictitious member "Random" at the top of the list. Each time you click on that member, you get a new list of 12 randomly-chosen songs. Of course, you can also click on any real member in the list to play their songs. That's the real purpose of the "Member Jukeboxes" button. The "Random Dozen" feature is just a bonus.

Have fun, but don't get so wrapped up in it that you don't have any time to record something for DylanFest and ComedyFest.  ;)
