I've made a few minor improvements to the site:
- Added "Show All Unread Topics" below the featured song at the top of the page. Clicking this link will show you all of your unread topics, not just the ones since your last visit. I use this all the time.
- The MP3 player is now properly centred in the message. This means that you can now include centred text such as the song title at the end of your message and it will appear properly aligned directly above the player.
- The [singlemp3][/singlemp3] tags also result in a properly centered MP3 player. And I've removed the extra space below the player so that we can place the song title directly underneath the player. Here's an example (https://songcrafters.org/forum/index.php?topic=6514.msg82827#msg82827).
- The SoundClick player gadget is now linked to the corresponding song page at SoundClick. Just click on the SoundClick logo above the player.
Thank you 64!!!!
Good stuff and thankyou for your hard work. One quick question. On the home page there is a little box with "guitar and headphones" on it and a little red X. What does it all mean?

It means the image that's supposed to appear there is missing. I've already asked Pedro to send it to me. When he does, I'll fix that.
Welcome back and thank you all for your hard work in making this possible......Alex ;D ;D ;D
i love you 64
Can you add an "increase my talent" button please?
Great work 64 Guitars you have a lot of thank full people around , including me !!
Dunny
We've increased the upload limit from 5MB to 6MB (thanks Mike!). The exact limit is now 6,292 KB (decimal), which is 6,292,000 bytes. Windows reports file sizes rounded to the nearest binary megabyte or kilobyte. So, when Windows says a file is 6.0 MB, the actual size is about 6,291,456 bytes (depending on whether it rounded the actual size up or down), which is just below our limit.
We should now be able to upload most 3 or 4 minute songs at 192kbps. Longer songs may have to be reduced to 160kbps or even 128 kbps.
We'll be keeping an eye on the total size of our attachments folder (currently 12GB). If it gets too big, we may have to reduce the upload limit. I think we can avoid that if some of the frequent posters move some of their files offsite (weebly.com, fileden, etc.) and link to those files with the [singlemp3][/singlemp3] tags instead. It's not compulsory, but it would help to slow the growth of our attachments folder so that other members can continue to upload their files here and, hopefully, we won't have to reduce the upload limit.
Thank you Mike and 64G, that's good news !!!
Ive not been around much, but I just wanna say the new site is GREAT! Really an improvment.
The "Play all my songs" jukebox now has a scrollable members list so you can easily check out the music of other members. Only members who have uploaded one or more MP3s are shown. The total number of them is shown in parenthesis at the top of the list. Currently, 326 members have uploaded MP3s. Also, the number of MP3s uploaded by each member is shown in parenthesis beside their name. Member names with a darker colour are ones whose playlist you've visited. Lighter coloured ones are those that you've not yet clicked on (recently).
Fantastic work 64G !!!
This site is getting better all the time !!
Thank you for the time and effort you put into keeping this site what it is and at the same time giving us more excellent features all the time !
yeah baby
we appreciate you dedication and attention to detail-you make this this site very enjoyable
For all your hard work I present you with the highest of offers, the Golden Gould (award conceptualization and distribution courtesy of our own little Golden Gould himself, Gritter).

Now that we can easily go to any member's "Play all my songs" jukebox via the member list within it, I thought we should have a button at the top of each page so we can get to the jukebox quickly. The only trouble is, the jukebox requires a member ID number to be specified and it didn't seem fair to have the button default to one member's jukebox. So I decided to add a "Random Dozen" feature when the non-existent member #0 is specified and have the "Member Jukeboxes" button go there.

It picks 12 songs randomly out of all of the songs uploaded by all members since Dec 16, 2007 and plays them in the jukebox. I also added the fictitious member "Random" at the top of the list. Each time you click on that member, you get a new list of 12 randomly-chosen songs. Of course, you can also click on any
real member in the list to play their songs. That's the real purpose of the "Member Jukeboxes" button. The "Random Dozen" feature is just a bonus.
Have fun, but don't get so wrapped up in it that you don't have any time to record something for DylanFest and ComedyFest. ;)
You spoil us 64G !!!!
Great feature, now .... when to get time to record ??? ??? ;D
Thanks 64G for all your hard work constantly improving this site.
It is very much appreciated by everyone.
Thank You,
Dave
