So good to meet you Gringo, you gave us all a great little mystery to solve for a while.  And your writing on the posts was very funny.  Great stuff.  I enjoyed the whole Gringo era.  Does the the lovely and evil mrs henwrench play any instruments or sing.  I am still hopeful for a Gringo song.

Quote from: henwrench on March 04, 2010, 05:12:21 AMA suitable punishment may involve the recording of snoring

One night I was lying in bed, reading on the laptop.  My lovely wife was making chainsaw noises next to me.

I thought: Laptop. Built-in mic. Audacity. Easy!

She's yet to commit an offense equal to the punishment of my publishing the recording, but I keep the file on my computer desktop, and am ready if the moment for retribution ever comes.

Shake off slumber, and beware.

Maybe Gringo is more of a Flamenco stylist?

Its like a vortex that has pulled a vacuum into its heart, only to realize that it has gotten itself turned inside out and cant get back to its original state, thats what the idea of Gringo makes me feel  like.  Its that simple in its complexity (or was that complex in its simplicity...I seem to have gotten all turned around here).  Black is the new white.  Ale is the new lager.

Donna, you're new here, so you may be unaware that Gringo is an enigma which emerges when Henwrench's guarding spells around his PC get too weak to protect us from his/her/its warped (but rather fun) influence.

Quote from: Donna D on October 07, 2010, 03:09:53 AMThough I did wonder where his/its/her own songs were...

Gringo's songs exist in the gap between nightmares and reality. Or in the Mexican enclave in Cornwall. Either way, it's a pretty tiny space.

Title: Re: Gringo - Unmasked
Post by: Ferryman on October 07, 2010, 03:54:36 AM
Oh no, could it be that Gringo is really smalltins of fruit? Perhaps smalltins of fruit is the "him" manifestation of the Gringo him/her/it triumvirate. Take a look at smalltins of fruit's picture - him appears to be a middle-aged bald man in a garden centre. Is Lobster Boy the "it" manifestation of Gringo? Is smalltins of fruit/Gringo/Lobster Boy a pan dimensional being that could be the new Flying Spaghetti Monster? We'll have to ask the Reverend ORH. Is heaven in fact a garden centre instead of a mountain with trees and a beer fountain?

So many questions, so few answers.

(Autumn Song is here in case you don't know it: https://songcrafters.org/community/index.php?topic=5027.0)

Nigel, you are a flipping genius, your questions are all making sense to me here this morning.  I believe we have stumbled onto a new, unknown deity.  A new religion in the making.  We need to spread the word far and wide.  We don't have too much time.  Its almost 2012 you know.  ORH, where are you, we need a song to guide us through these troubled times.

A holy trinity of smalltins of fruit/Gringo/Lobster Boy is just what the world needs right now to lead us to the holy promised land of the celestial garden center.  WOW, mind = blown this morning.

It was Geir that revealed the link - he must be our prophet. And of course Donna identified stof/Gr/LB as a triumvirate "him/her/it", so she must be a prophet also. And of course you revealed Lobster Boy in all his pink glory, so you must be a prophet as well. I am just at a complete loss (which makes prophet and loss, ta raaa!).

Brothers and sisters, please join with me in the singing of hymn number 1, "Autumn Song", while we await the arrival of the Reverend ORH for our first service together to celebrate the revelation of stof/Gr/LB. The celestial garden centre beckons - I can smell the holy mulch now.

Now remind me, which planet was I on?

Nash the Slash was actually a judge for a band competition i was in back in the mid 90's.

I was just filling in for a guitarist in another band Cause he had to do work travel.

If i recall there was 3 judges. Hmmm...Sounds like a TV hit to me!

And Gnasty seems to be smack dab in the middle of it.  What you got to say for yourself conspiracy-boy.  Is your name really Gnasty at all. perhaps Randy, or Chachie, or maybe even Bob.  Time to level the playing field, fess up to your diabolical schemes, you in cahoots with the terrible trio that is small-tins-of-fruit/Lobster Boy/Gringo.

*Disclaimer: just having a goof here Gnasty, not meant as a personal attack, maybe your real name is Gnasty, maybe you have some mexican blood in you, maybe you like lobster rolls, maybe you eat fruit out of small tins, maybe you wrap yourself up in bandages at night when going out on the town...all perfectly acceptable things...we are trying to be an accepting and open forum after all.  Carry on your usual business...but remember we are watching...

I find it a little eerie that Nash the Slash died and this thread came up
That talks about him.  :-\

Anyways I suggest, no, challenge, no,  demand!, that gringo sings us a song.

How about a flamenco duet with her henwrench lover like greeny and Lucy did ?
