I accidently tuned into a radio station where I heard a song that was souring up the charts and everyone thought it was a real hit. It literally had two chords in it. I thought about all the talent on this forum and all the money I haven't got. This is my revenge...
LOL! Great lyrics. A wink and a nod, yet a bit of truth to it as well.Hey, the Stones and U2 have done quite will with that theory.
Sounds like you're overdriving the mic in spots, but otherwise, thoroughly enjoyable. Gave me a good laugh. Nice job!
Oh yeah. This is great. Funny AND catchy as hell! But you're giving away my secret, lol. There was a touch of the Ian Dury's in some of your vocal delivery, which is also good! Great stuff.
Heck with 2 chords is exactly how me and another guitarist started - we'd take turns chording while the other ripped a lead.....for hours & hours.....I bet the neighbors just loved that.....sorry for the diversion.....
This is great - light hearted and fun!! Catchy tune - luv that Led Zepplin-ish howl at the end!!!
Hey, I resemble this song! I'm in the "two chord" school me! I follow the famous advice that was supposedly in a punk fanzine. There was a hand drawn diagram of finger positions on a guitar for E, A and B7, with the caption: "Here's three chords. Now form a band."
That plus a bit of pentatonic, that's all the music I have :D
But this was great fun and actually pretty catchy, thanks for venting in such a funny way.
Cheers,
Nigel
Two chords? Showoff.

Oh this was hilarious!! You were wonderful. I can't even think up a song in one chord much less 2 or more. I will have to work on that!! LOL You were great and had me laughing. You are always so funny. I loved the ending.
P.J.
effing hilarious!!!

I think you said it best in the song with, "Yeah, rock on!"
I had to listen to the outro several times.
Blooby
Do you Gig?
I'd pay to watch this mate! and buy you a pint to boot......
This remind me of the song spoofs they used to do on "Not the 9 'o' clock news"...........
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UM1c7YSizjUhere it is "remastered"........
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LoLfWzCIlGsYou are one talented Mo-fo....er....Bro!
Peace

Funny as hell :D My old man was a trad jazz fanatic who loved to slag of the "3 chord trick". He would have loved this.
Mind yo, some of my favourite songs only have (and need) 3.....
I remember 'Not the Nine O'clock News' Osckilo....'Gob on You' was another great song. I've got a boxed set of Tom Lehrer's songs - an American satirist who song lots of amazingly funny and clever political songs. There's something so wicked about listening to a bouncy, jolly tune about nuclear destruction. It's liberating, somehow! Thanks so much for the nice comments. It's so much better when people listen to the stuff you come out with. I love listening to as much as I can on this site - but it can get too addictive. You could spend all day and all night here....

Have you ever heard frank turner?
Same sort of stuff, but more political at times.....
You music is to the same high standard......
I'll check out Frank Turner. I sometimes panic over all the good stuff I haven't heard and never heard of.....
Just Brilliant !!!!!
Listend 3 times already ... and there will be more !!!
Funny and catchy for sure .....
love it
That was fantastic!! You really captured the moment here. I was just mentioning to Blooby that "all songs have three chords, don't they?" :D
You definitely
could get paid for this!. It reminds me of the George Harrison parody that Weird Al did. Only the song focused more on lyrics instead of chords:

If you ever get a chance to see Weird Al Yankovic, GO!
His band is absolutely amazing, and then there's Weird Al on top of it all.
OTD Bump,
Brilliant Jackofall.
Alex.
I half laughed and half cringed but I had completely forgotten that I did this! I haven't written any songs in years, just pushing to get better at several instruments before the rot sets in...You are all such great supportive people.
